The UK's 'barbecue summer' is starting to look like a bit of a washout as the Met Office updates forecast and warns of unsettled weather for the holidays.
It just sounds like the media industry just told us what they felt we wanted to hear in such economic climate, at the same time ensuring we stayed and spent our hard earned money in wet and miserable UK rather than abroad.
Most of these very cleaver and well paid people and journalists seen to have decided to simply forget in which country and part of the world we live in! Quite incredible really! Hummm ... I can't help being suspicious!
Anyway, perhaps we can help to cheer you up a little; look up the weather in France where it's been glorious in the last few days, even in Paris it's 28 degres!
If like many of us you want to see some sunshine before the end of the summer, you may want to escape to southern France and rent a villa or cottage for a week or 2.
It might not be as cheaper as it once was when the UK was king of Europe, never the less, it is almost guaranteed better weather, better food (especially with VAT prices down to 5%) and overall better quality of living and drinking! You don't have to eat foie gras and drink Champagne everyday!
